True happiness arises from recognizing that all things originate from God and ultimately return to God. When we remember this, our smile becomes genuine—a reflection of surrender and service to the Creator of all. This is an inner smile, a perpetual happiness that sustains us through all circumstances.
In this world, there are many kinds of happiness and countless paths to pursue. Some are tempting, some deceptive, some seductive, while others elevate. These various realms of happiness hang like paintings in a gallery, each one drawing souls in its own way. They act as karma collectors, gathering energy from diverse souls.
For those who chant Wahe Guru, karma is transcended. Repeating God’s sacred name brings blessings and releases the bonds of karma. Many paths may exist, but ours is simple: chant Wahe Guru. Through chanting, singing, listening to, and attuning with this sacred sound, the ties to other realms are loosened, and the soul is set free from maya’s grip. This freedom allows us to seek Guru Ji’s true domain, the highest picture in this divine gallery.
Happiness, as it turns out, is found in sacrifice—the surrender of self in service to God’s will. When we release our ego, we let go of the need for personal recognition. In this way, we give up our identity and self-worth, aligning instead with God’s purpose.
This surrender naturally leads us into a life of compassion. Compassion is God’s presence in action, guiding the world back toward divine harmony. It’s a precious gift, yet we must guard against turning it into a means of manipulation.
When our consciousness aligns with compassion, God’s message flows through us. When we live compassionately, we embody God’s message. Here, in this compassionate state, infinite happiness resides. Here, the soul finds contentment under God’s guidance and protection. What more could one need for true happiness? This divine protection is God’s blessing, bestowed through Wahe Guru, His devotional name.
Sacrifice also brings us to gratitude—a form of love. As students, we become so grateful for bringing joy to God that it feels as if we can never thank Him enough. And yet, we realize that no matter what we do, it will always seem less than what we could, should, or might do.
The answer is simple: make everything you think, say, and do—whether positive or otherwise—a devotion to God, the Creator of all. When you live this way, God hears only your devotional prayer, not your karma. Devotion is what God cherishes most. Embrace life with a heart full of gratitude for all things and experience God’s love.
When we thank God continually, we receive understanding, forgiveness, patience, and love in return. Gratitude becomes a beautiful practice, deepening and bringing more life-changing gifts.
In this way, we are no longer the creators of our actions; our destiny merges with God’s will. In God We Trust. Sacrifice transforms into continuous surrender, reshaping us into an image of righteousness. Here lies the challenge: as students, we must grow into this image, sacrificing any and all obstacles that keep us from serving God’s will more deeply. Perfection is not required, but consistent growth is essential.
A life lived free from hatred, anger, jealousy, fear, and frustration is a life well-lived. It’s a life of true happiness and pure joy, grounded in confidence, virtue, and love. God’s love is the foundation of true love, and happiness is its natural result. All great religions recognize this truth.
God is all, and all is God—good and evil alike. But that is a discussion for another time. For now, simply recognizing and remembering that God is all attracts true happiness. With each realization, joy deepens, and our understanding grows. Acknowledging that God is in charge brings an inner peace and a deeper level of happiness. It’s that simple. Happiness awaits you. Stay tuned.
