Sat Nam Dear Family,

There’s great pain everywhere in the world, the nation, and, definitely, in our yogic/Sikh community.
Students in this Dharma who may think differently than we do are not the enemy. They are our brothers and sisters who are in pain. We’re in pain too. Pain is pain and doesn’t discriminate because of facts, emotion, or obedience.
All are in pain because of each individual reality, individual truth. And there are Infinite possibilities. The common denominator is pain. Why is this important? Because we may have been focusing on the wrong thing.
Pain is the issue, or I should say, how to get out of pain is the issue. Some believe that facts, emotions, obedience, must lead to a certain conclusion before healing can take place. Not true. Kundalini Yoga, itself, leads to transcending difficulties, insecurities, commotions, not catering to them.
We know that pain can and is dealt with in many, many different ways. Pills, denial, deflection, blaming, any distraction works to some degree or another. The only permanent remedy with no time limit or side-effect is devotion, love for God through His name. Devotion transcends, other methods. Devotion works directly on the issue, not sub-issues. Therefore, it works much, much quicker.
For many, just working on pain seems like a cop-out, really not dealing with their issue. For them, this is true and this is their real identity. For them, pain must be dealt with by going through the facts, emotion, or obedience. To them I say, that’s fine, I used to be like this myself. All my ducks had to line up in order for transcendence to be worked on. But over the years I’ve learned that, this too, does not get to the essence for the sufferer.
The process is in reverse. The first step should be the removal of pain, this must be primary for quick results. Then, and only when the pain is gone, can facts, emotions, and obedience be reconciled. So long as pain continues, pain will get in the way of neutrality. Pain makes neutrality very, very difficult to access. Everything experienced through the veil of pain will appear differently than in a state of neutrality. How do we move forward?
Suspend your judgement of facts, emotions, obedience and pray, meditate, nourish your love for God through His sacred name. Practice the teachings with more and more devotion and dedication. Go the Source. Through the Guru, or directly, practice loving God more and more. He is the Doer of all; He is the light of intuitive understanding; He is your Protector; He is your Benefactor; He has your back and the more love He experiences from you, the more gratitude enters your life. The more Grateful you are, the more love you display. this circle of devotion removes pain.
As we live more in the healing essence of the name, the Naam, pain is removed, neutrality awaits and intuitive understanding yields tolerance, compassion, and love for all.
