This dish is for problems with flu, sinus, and bronchial congestion. It also just happens to be absolutely delicious. Serve it with Saffron Rice with Almonds and Garlic (page 188), Lemon Rice (page 186), or plain steamed basmati rice.
“Once upon a time long, long ago, relationships developed. I mean lifetimes ago, thousands of lifetimes ago this dance began. You think you’re free? you’re never free. For good or not, your relationships will follow you through time. There’s only one way to rid yourself of this karma.” I couldn’t wait to hear his next sentence. How do we let go? How do we surrender? How do we get off this wheel? How do we overcome deep attachments?
Started in 2016, the Seva Sadhana Program is about two years old, and continues to pick up momentum since its inception. In order to meet all operating expenses the program still relies on donations, however a thorough strategy for 2019 promises fiscal solvency by 2020, and the projection for generating abundance and the ability to create more jobs by 2021.
The Seva Sadhana Program serves as a structure for which participants may experience the healthy, happy, holy, lifestyle teachings of Yogi Bhajan. The program offers the opportunity to live in spiritual community, rise in the ambrosial pre-dawn hours and practice Kundalini Yoga / Aquarian Sadhana, and serve selflessly for the good of others and our planet.
Yogiji taught to take five almonds (no more) and soak them over night. In the morning, one should peel them and grind them into a paste, then place the paste on the tongue and being careful not to swallow. For about 30-45 minutes, keep the paste on the tongue, allowing the saliva to change the ‘potency’ of the almonds and create a type of homeopathic medicine.
“Yes, sir. I want to do what you want me to. Thank you so much for the reminder again. Thank God, you put up with me.” The Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, and I were seated in the New Mexico Estates on a crisp Tuesday afternoon. I remember that it was Tuesday because communication on Tuesday, Mars day, war day, should be done consciously, and this was a Tuesday, the worst day to need his help as, inevitably, it would take longer and more doubt had to be overcome.
Ever find a shopping item or an article, video, picture or blog post you really want to hang on to, but simply don't have time to deal with at the moment? OK, Pocket is the simplest way I know to to save all that stuff so it'll be there when you need it. Everything you put in your Pocket is stored in the Cloud and encrypted. You can even share any Pocket item by clicking the share link and Pocket will email a link and short summary to whomever you share it with.
Eat at least three cloves of raw garlic for breakfast, again for lunch, and again for dinner for three days.
Don’t be surprised if your sweat, tongue, armpits, skin, and breath smell of garlic; this is natural and the garlic is actually pushing toxins out through all of your eliminating systems. You will feel cleaned out and detoxified from this powerful fast.
“Oh sir, I’ve seen you change so much,” I blurted out one afternoon in the May of 1993. Thank God we were alone. I immediately realized that it probably wasn’t my place to speak to my teacher this way. I was shocked. He just gracefully turned his head, gave an ever so slight nod, and that was that. Well, not quite! Please let me explain.
