Enjoy this simple recipe with potatoes and beats. It balances Vata and increases Kapha. This recipe is recommended for recovering "junk food addicts" or new vegetarians.
Recently I’ve been hearing a lot of rumors flying around regarding Windows 10 “spying on you” and “searching your hard drive for pirated games and erasing them." Well, I really dislike rumors, but I love the truth. The truth is that neither of the above are true. Windows is set by default to gather personal information about you (same as Google) but you can turn it off.
On August 2nd, 2017 I began my drive to Espanola, New Mexico. I was going with the intention of taking the 28 day immersion Yoga Teacher training to become a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.
Did you know that you can use Microsoft Office on Windows or Mac for free?
Interested in using Microsoft Office -- either the one-time purchase Office 2016 or the subscription-based Office 365, but not yet sure you want to shell out the money to pay for it?
“Son,” the Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, said, “The guidelines of spirituality may vary depending upon many things, but one of the most important factors is obedience. It’s also one of the hardest concepts to surrender to.”
By SS Sangeet Kaur Khalsa, Espanola
After the tragic events of 1984 Siri Singh Sahib ji instructed us to hold a wish-and-dish Gurdwara every 6th of the month and to sing the Narayan shabd. He said that “when we’ll perfect (the shabd), Akal Takht will appear by its own force.” In those early days, when Siri Singh Sahib ji gave a command it was (relatively!) easy for me to obey and serve, without questioning.
Endings are never easy. But neither are beginnings. I got myself out of bed at three in the morning today and that pressing feeling weighed on me. I am leaving the ashram today. For the past two wonderful weeks, this place has been home to me – a place of refuge. Each day has been a gift – an intertwinement of self reflection, expansion and deep interactions.
It’s always been my habit to do as I will and let the chips fall where they may. That way of thinking was satisfying for me, but insensitive to others who may become affected and don’t get any chips. It’s caused me more trouble than necessary. Our teacher, the Siri Singh Sahib, made this clear to me on too many occasions. Please let me explain.
Back to school security tips for parents and kids
The new school term has just begun, and for parents, the excitement and anxiety may be palpable, especially if it’s your kid’s first time attending a new school. Ads for back-to-school gear start as early as July, increasing in frequency and urgency until the kids step foot on the bus. And while they may not be begging you for new pencils and erasers, chances are they’ll turn on the charm when it comes to getting some new tech.
