Sunday Gurdwaras - On Sunday, September 24th and continuing the following 2 Sundays, October 1st and October 8th, speakers in our Sunday Gurdwara program will present on this year's theme.
People ask me, "What’s the difference between religions of the West and religions of the East?" The answer isn’t just this or that. The answer contains two different techniques when pursuing a spiritual path Please, let me explain further.
Right off the bat there’s a problem. Religions in the East are not religions at all.
Is there a any religion which says that love isn’t the answer? Of course not. Religion is the science of reality. Love is reality in Totality. In other words, God is the perpetual, Infinite, love experience of Totality. This endless vibration of love is perpetually deeper and deeper until the student and the Guru, the student and God, and the student himself become One.
For most, life has much too much pain and drudgery. That may not be a bad thing, The journey toward spirituality begins with the thought, the desire, the commitment to do more to find happiness. Few, very very few come to spiritually who are happy with their life. And, few keep-up with the necessary discipline spirituality offers to attain happiness.. Nevertheless, it turns out that the journey unto happiness is real.
Lets examine earthly love. Worldly love is fabulous, no doubt about it. It’s what keeps this world going. It keeps us going. We all love something - even if it’s nothing. On the other hand, God is pure love in all it’s forms and directions, and all at the same time. Godly and worldly love are the same, love is love. It’s only the time and depth that makes a difference. Please, let me explain further.
Forgiveness is the balm that soothes the soul,
A salve that mends the wounds that make us whole,
It's not an easy path we choose to take,
But one that leads us to a brighter wake.
It's not a weakness, as some may believe,
But rather strength that helps us to achieve,
The peace that comes from letting go of hate,
And finding love that heals and elevates.
God isn’t just love. He’s more, much more, through His creation. Love is the forth and final stage in healing. Like that Willy Wonka song in the movie says, “Love makes the world go round.” Who knew that Willy was that profound?
Tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and compassion (the worldly display of God’s love), are all encompassing in seeking God in Totality.
You may question why even people who have had Covid before, or who are vaccinated, are still getting Covid these days? The answer is simple: a highly infectious variant of Covid- the most contagious of all so far- has emerged as the dominant strain these days, more so on the East Coast than on the West Coast. Also, vaccinations’ protection against infection significantly decreases over one year (though protection against severe disease or death last longer)
Why do we have this new strain? - This virus continuously mutates, and as it mutates it becomes more difficult for the body’s immune system to recognize it, so the virus can become more elusive and contagious) …
